🌿Trying to stay ahead of your money?
Back in March, I wrote about being the “CFO of your life.”
Not because you need to become a financial expert, but because when you start paying attention to your finances, something powerful happens.
You gain clarity. You build confidence. And that puts you in control to live the life you want…and deserve.
And one way to do this is to put a simple system in place. Nothing complicated. Just something you can stick with week after week to create a healthy habit.
So this week, I want to challenge you to create that simple habit. To put something in place that I call “The Money Minute.”
Pick the same day, time, and place each week to pay attention to your personal finances—and put it on your calendar. Just like you would a doctor’s appointment, a workout, or getting your nails done. 😊
For me, it’s Friday at 11:00am, in my office, and at my desk. I dedicate 30 minutes to look at:
What’s coming in.
What’s going out.
What’s coming up.
What needs attention.
Sometimes I’m not solving anything. I’m simply becoming aware.
And that awareness helps me stay one step ahead of my money, instead of constantly chasing after it.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s consistency. Because when we start paying attention, we gain clarity which leads to greater confidence and meaningful change.
Remember, financial wellness is wellness.
And we need to make time to take care of our financial health just like we do our physical and mental health.
If you’ve been struggling to stay accountable with your money, I encourage you to give this a try and put “The Money Minute” into your calendar.
Keep me posted and let me know how it goes. I’m rooting for you! 💚
PS: Do you already have a money habit that works for you? Hit reply, I’d love to know!
Happy Wednesday! 🌿

💚 This Friday, October 2, join me at the “POWER YOUR POTENTIAL” Women’s Conference, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County!
I’ll be leading a breakout session called: “Getting Unstuck: What’s Really Holding You Back Financially?” Hoping you can make it!
🎓 Have a high school senior? The 2027–28 FAFSA is now available, so if your student will be attending college in the 2027–28 academic year, now is a good time to get started.
FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal, state, and school-based financial aid, and some state and college deadlines can come earlier than the federal deadline.
