🌿What I did when I hit rock bottom
Updated: 5 days ago
Have you ever had so much going on that you feel like you just want to shut down?
Too many decisions. Too many things on your plate. Too many unknowns.
You feel overwhelmed, you don’t know where to start, and you’re just…stuck.
I get it. When I was 34 and going through my divorce, I had moved back into my parents’ house with my 4-year-old daughter.
I was single mom, broken, and full of fear. Talk about feeling stuck...I was rock bottom.
I remember looking at myself in the mirror and saying,
“Okay, girl. This is not the life you planned. But this is where you are. So pull those big-girl panties up and make a plan. And make one fast!”
And that’s exactly what I did.
Not a perfect plan. Not one that solved everything overnight. Just a plan.
Because plans give us purpose. They give us goals to work toward.
They give us a reason to get out of bed each morning and, perhaps most importantly, they give us a sense of control when life feels so completely out of control.
So if life feels overwhelming, here’s what I want you to do:
Grab a pen and paper and write down what needs to get done. Write what’s weighing on you. Then pick ONE thing and start there.
It may sound simple, but when we take what’s swirling around in our heads and put it down on paper it becomes real. And when it becomes real, it becomes attainable.
If part of what feels overwhelming right now is your money, I created something for you: "The One Money Thing Challenge”.
