This past weekend reminded me just how important it is for women to reconnect.
I attended my college reunion (Lynchburg College, now Lynchburg University) and had the absolute joy of spending time with many long-time friends — but more importantly, with six incredible women I’ve known for 37 years.
Though we’ve stayed in touch over the decades, this was the first time in a long time we were all together under one roof. And let me tell you — we didn’t skip a beat!
We laughed until we cried, shared memories from decades ago, and held space for each other’s joys and heartaches. It was a blast, yes, but it was also deeply healing.
In a world that’s always racing ahead, it’s grounding — and so good for the soul — to reconnect with the people who knew you before life got complicated. Before careers, families, and responsibilities pulled us in a million directions.
As women, we often pour so much into others. But moments like this? They fill us right back up. They remind us that connection isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity.
If someone from your past has been on your heart lately, don’t wait. Reach out. Make the call. Set the date. You’ll be so glad you did.❣️
Happy Wednesday! 🌿
