🌿Why do we do this at the end of every year?

Updated: Dec 15, 2025

December 10, 2025

Can I be completely honest with you?

I think we as women can be incredibly hard on ourselves—especially as we near the end of the year.

We often look back on the last 12 months and immediately focus on what we didn’t get to, what we should have done, or where we think we “fell short.”

What we forget is to give ourselves grace… and to acknowledge the countless things, big and small, that we did accomplish.

I recently learned a concept that may help with this—a powerful applied-neuroscience technique called win anchoring.

It’s the practice of pausing to recognize and mentally “tag” your wins so your brain can return to that positive, confident state later.

"Neurons that fire together wire together." So every time you celebrate a success, you’re training your brain to remember what it feels like to be confident, capable, and ready to keep moving forward.

And that feels really darn good! 🤗

So today, as you’re reading this, I invite you to pause and celebrate three wins of your own from this past week.

These can be big—finally setting up that high-yield savings account, paying off a lingering balance, or having that long-avoided conversation about your final wishes and estate documents.

Or they can be small but meaningful—deciding to pack lunch instead of buying it, opening your budgeting app when you didn’t feel like it, or saying “no” to a purchase you didn’t really need.

The size doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you acknowledge the progress you made—because I know you've made real progress.

So please…pause, celebrate, and let those wins fuel your tomorrow. 💜

Happy Wednesday! 🌿

PS: I can't hold back...here is one of my wins…

This week marks one year since I started my business and officially became an LLC—or, in my eyes, a “real” business. YAY!!

It’s been an incredible year of learning, growth, and helping women take confident steps in their financial wellness. And that, my friend, is a win I’m anchoring deeply.

OK, now your turn—hit reply and share one win from your week. I’d love to celebrate it with you! 🥳
