🌿The crucial document my mom had in place

Not too long ago, my mom ended up in the hospital for an extended period of time. Thankfully, she is doing much better now.
But during those weeks, life felt like it had been turned upside down.
It was emotional, stressful, and overwhelming. There were moments when I thought my head was going to explode!... from keeping track of everything that needed attention while also worrying about my mom.
As difficult as that time was, one thing made an enormous difference: my mom had designated me as her Power of Attorney and had that document in place.
When she became unable to handle certain matters herself, that document became invaluable.
It allowed me to step in, handle financial matters, complete paperwork, communicate with institutions, and make decisions in her best interest during a time when she couldn't do those things herself.
Without it, many of those decisions would have been delayed—or far more complicated.
I’m sharing this with you today because it really reinforced something for me: estate planning isn't just about what happens after we're gone. Some of the most important documents are designed to protect us while we're still here.
Recently, I joined Fiona Solis from Trust & Will on her "Estate Planning Expert Series" podcast to discuss this very topic and why these documents are so important for women to have.
I invite you to watch on YouTube here:
My hope is that this conversation encourages you—or someone you care about—to put an estate plan in place, document your wishes, and create a roadmap for your loved ones. 🩷
None of us can predict when life will throw us a curveball, but we can prepare for it.
If you'd like more info on how I have helped many women (and their partners) create their estate documents, hit reply and let's connect.
Happy Wednesday! 🌿
