I woke up this morning in full panic mode. It’s December 4th, the holiday season is here, and I’m already waaaay behind!
Feeling a bit the same?
Yes, the holiday season is a time of joy, but as we all know it can also be incredibly stressful.
Between shopping, decorating, cooking, and balancing work with family commitments, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
Amidst the hustle and bustle, it's so easy to overlook even the little wins that keep us going.
Acknowledging small victories—like finding the perfect gift or finishing a task ahead of schedule—can provide a real sense of control and boost our morale.
These moments remind us that progress is being made, even if it's not always in the grandest of ways.
When we take the time to celebrate the small wins it helps us combat the feeling of burnout and prevents the holiday season from becoming an endless to-do list.
Recognizing our achievements, no matter how minor they may seem, also encourages a positive mindset.
It shifts the focus from what’s left to do to what’s already been accomplished, giving us the feelings of satisfaction and contentment.
Whether it’s wrapping up your holiday shopping ahead of time or sharing a laugh with loved ones over a favorite holiday movie, these moments of celebration help you stay present and enjoy the season.
As you navigate the holiday hustle this month, I hope you can take a moment to raise a glass to yourself.
Take the time to pause and celebrate each small victory—because together, they add up to a holiday season you can truly enjoy.
Cheers to you and every little win you had this Wonderful Wednesday—and every day! ❤️
Warm Regards,
Lisa W. Burns
PS: A little holiday hack I use to get me through a hectic day: Time-Blocking.
It may sound simple but scheduling specific blocks of time for tasks into manageable chunks can help keep the focus on one thing at a time and avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Got a good tip that helps you get through the holidays? I’d love to hear it!
