🌿In midlife you already have what they don’t

There’s something I think we don’t talk about enough, especially as mid-life women. So here I go...

There are women half your age—with a quarter of your life experience (and I’m being generous!)—out there getting things done.

Meanwhile, so many of us sit quietly wondering if we’re ‘ready’.

We over analyze. We second guess ourselves. We think we need one more certification, one more course, a bunch of ABC letters after our name, before we go after what’s actually on our heart.

Sound familiar?

If you’ve been standing on the edge of something new—a business idea, a passion project, a next chapter you can’t quite ignore—consider this your gentle nudge.

And know this for sure: you already have what they don’t.

Years of lived experience.

Hard-earned lessons.

Resilience.

Perspective... so much perspective!

And that matters more than any title or credential ever could.

You don’t need to be “more ready” or “more qualified.” You don’t even need permission.

You just need to trust what you already have and know that it’s enough. Way more than enough.

The only thing standing between you and that next step might just be the story you’re telling yourself about why you’re not ready yet.

So let’s change that story. This week, ask yourself one simple question:

What would I do if I trusted that I already have everything I need?

And then… take one small step in that direction. Because I believe the woman you’re becoming is built by what you do next, not what you keep putting off.

Happy Wednesday! 🌿

PS: I love this article below from Fast Company as it features real women who started businesses in midlife.

It shows that many find their experience, professional networks, and resilience to be major advantages — not liabilities — in launching something meaningful.

These women emphasize that the skills you’ve built over time are exactly what make this a great moment to act.
